Painting in Charlevoix the home of Clarence Gagnon and one of the favorite painting locations of A Y Jackson. Painting scenes abound with colour and life and with the special light of Quebec it makes for an inspirational painting location. Taking my students there every year and returning in different seasons allows me to appreciate it each time I visit. This painting was done after Skylar our dog sat in one of my students palette's and was wearing ultramarine blue like a black streak on a skunk. So much for really getting into your painting!
